Stu Orchard poster for X-Wray cafe gigs over winter.

The aim was to try and make the poster visually effective in black and white.

Michael Timmins shot the photography used for the poster.

Stu Orchard is a local musician who approached me to create a series of posters for him.

This particular poster was for his album launch, the theme being ‘tropical’.

My choice of calming, soothing colours reflects Stu’s style of funk-pop melodies.

The poster had to complement the album artwork and logo designed by another artist.

The Funk Club commissioned me to design a poster for Artrage’s opening party which doubled as an album launch for the Ku Ling Brothers.

Original artwork from the album cover was supplied which I then incorporated into the poster design.

‘Lipstick and Hessian’ is a play written, directed and starring Jo Morris.

It ran for successive weeks at the Blue Room theatre in Northbridge.

The play was based on Jo’s family history and pays tribute to the roles that the women played in the Morris clan.

It takes place during the time of World Wars 1 and 2, so the theme of the poster pays homage to the propaganda posters of that era.

Michael Timmins took the original photo that Jo posed for.

Poster design and artwork for Little Creatures’ Loft New Years Eve 2009.

The poster is inspired by the chalkboards that Little Creatures use to display their menus on.

Concept poster for a proposed ‘rockabilly’ themed concert festival.

Design for the theme was based on the clothing and image of ‘rockabilly’.

The look borrows from the 1950s style americana and hot-rod car culture of that era.
